Hadrat Sultan Bahu (RA) came into this world to ignite in men’s hearts an ardent love for Allah. He gave and taught seekers the science of “meditation upon Name Allah,” by which contact with Allah can be established. His doctrine of meditation, Tasawwur-e-Isme-Dhat, is unique. It gives a definite meditation technique for step-by-step ascension to the presence of Allah. He was one of the most remarkable of the exponents of universal truth in the realm of Sufi metaphysics. In his works he explained the contemplative meditation (Tasawwur) and reached unsurpassable heights in his exposition of the essential truth. He examined the doctrinal foundation of Tasawwur, spiritual alchemy, and the contemplative path to spiritual realization. To him, Tasawwur is an intellectual method of contemplation and realization of the truth.
